ASP.NET MVC RC2 Released

Phil Haack mentioned yesterday that a build was coming out. For most of the day, I watched for the build, but I was not online when they finally released. You can get a copy here: http://tinyurl.com/mvc-rc2

Much of what has changed appears to be in the underlying bits, so don’t expect a huge change if you have been using it thus far. The installer does check for 3.5 SP1 now, which is good. If you want to read more, you can do so here: http://haacked.com/archive/2009/03/03/aspnetmvc-changes-for-rc2.aspx

Looking at Phil’s blog entry (link above), I believe this RC is largely focused around install experience. If I am correct, I would guess an RTM fairly soon. If I were betting when, I would favor Phil’s talk at MIX (http://haacked.com/archive/2009/03/01/speaking-at-mix09.aspx), although he refused to give us a date.

Peace and Grace,
Greg
